This time a bourbon barrel that we used for maturation. And what a barrel! An original Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrel. The beer has been maturing for a year. The American oak has been toasted, so that the typical Woodford Reserve character has entered the beer. Light tannin from the wood, wonderfully soft and many tones of vanilla.
Storing this beer and letting it mature a bit more would of course be fantastic in a few years, but the question is whether you can keep the bottle closed for that long... This batch 2024 also has a very good taste!
