Every month, at the disappearance of the moon, the druid performs his ritual.
A circle of fire.
Prayers in a language that even the forest whispers.
He lifts the bottle, speaks the words—and binds what must remain bound.
A balance. An age-old pact between light and darkness.

You.

You came closer than anyone ever dared.
You saw the bottle.
The steam of herbs, resin and fire drew you closer.
A hand outstretched, trembling with desire.
You grabbed him. And you ran.

And behind you you heard it.

No anger.
No curse.
A silence.
Deep, warm silence.

And then — a whisper, old as the forest:
"It's time."

The druid had seen you.
And he nodded.

The ritual was not broken.
It was completed.

The balance has been restored.
The light now knows the darkness.
The black malt now knows the golden jenever.
